The Marrakech International Film Festival (FIFM) is looking forward to seeing you from 30 November to 8 December 2018.
After a year of suspension, the festival is back for its 17th edition, with a new artistic vision supported by a largely renewed programming team. This one was composed of personalities recruited from the prestigious festivals of Berlin, Toronto and of course Cannes.
This year, James Gray is president of the Jury. We owe in particular to this American director, screenwriter and producer of very successful films such as "La nuit nous appartient", "Two Lovers", or "Ad Astra" with Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones, whose release is scheduled for 2019.
Beyond the "casting surprises" announced by the organization, the 2018 festival will pay tribute to a few sacred film monsters. Robert de Niro, Robin Wright (Forrest Gump, Crossing guard, House of Cards…) or Agnès Varda, major director of the New Wave and brilliant jack-of-all-trades, will thus receive the "Étoile d'Or" award.
