The WTCC (World Touring Car Championship) motor race is held in Marrakech from 6 to 7 April 2019
WTCC Race of Morocco is undoubtedly the most awaited motor racing event in Morocco, not only because of the sheer number of spectators present – about 200,000 in the general area and 30,000 in the V.I.P. area – but also because of the festive atmosphere that reigns there.
This year WTCC promises us moments of pure madness that should bring Marrakech to a boil. Because the city and the race are now one: the Moulay El Hassan circuit is a temporary urban circuit traced in the streets of Marrakech!
This year, more curves for more overtaking, tighter straight lines for even more spectacular braking. The tour, revised by the famous German architect Hermann Tilke, promises a great show. Especially since over the years the event has grown to such an extent that it now features the world's biggest names in the discipline. All will compete for the first prize in a very open competition.
The event also gives rise to many activities in addition to the sporting competition: karting track and racing simulators in F1, first time racing in two-seater Formula 1, car and motorcycle exhibitions, street entertainment, car parades….
Amateur of speed and thrills,
Welcome to Marrakech!
