Let's start with a little history….
As everyone knows (or not), Easter is a Christian religious holiday that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus. It is celebrated on the Sunday following the full spring moon. It takes place during Holy Week, during which Jesus Christ had his last meal (Holy Thursday). He was crucified the next day (Good Friday) before resurrecting two days later on Easter Sunday.
In fact, for many of us, religion has only a distant connection with the celebration of Easter, which is now associated with ritual practices and games for children. Thus, this Sunday, in many families, eggs, bells or even chocolate rabbits will be hunted…
This is how Easter became synonymous with delicacies, for the many chocolates that children collect, but also for the good family meal that is often shared that day.
Méchoui pascal
At Les Jardins de La Médina, Easter is also a pleasure made of gastronomy and conviviality.
Sunday, April 21, we invite you to share the lamb mechoui of Marrakech. An opportunity for you to discover this tender and fragrant speciality, the result of a long and slow cooking process in traditional ovens.
Egg hunting
For the youngest among us, an egg hunt will be organized in the gardens. The smartest will leave with some treats and the happiness of having participated in this pretty race that brings back so many good memories for all of us.
In music
The brunch will be hosted by our musician Abderrahim.
